Some encouraging news for the #LifeInsurance industrySource MIB"U.S. life insurance application activity saw growth in January 2024 compared to January 2023, with Year-over-Year (YOY) activity up +4.7%, achieving the highest overall activity for any January on record. When comparing January 2024 to the same month in 2022, activity was up +13.7% and compared to 2021 was up +8.3%. On a Month-over-Month (MOM) basis, January 2024 was up +14.7% compared to December 2023, in a double-digit MOM growth pattern similar to last year in 2023, but outpacing January MOM results in years prior." Hopefully this will continue throughout 2024

It's silly to have a fancy car but not put gas in it.Ever hear of CRA Form T2210? Its the gas for deducting interest.If your clients have taken a policy loan from their life insurance policy and plan on deducting the interest, you need it. It gets missed all the time...why, because it is not normal to have a company charging you interest to complete a separate form when the interest cost already shows up on a statement. However, with life insurance companies, they are really verifying that the interest costs have not been added to the ACB - adjusted cost basis.
